We had a virtual Annual Meeting via Zoom.  Because of the Covid 19 pandemic we could not meet but decided to go ahead with our meeting.

AUGUST

Because of the pandemic we were unable to meet so decided to cancel the meetings and hope to meet again in the Spring of 2021.  We continued to have Zoom meetings.  We have also had garden get togethers (6 socially distanced members in each garden) and a Meadow Get Together (socially distanced), where we were able to see some other members and have a good chat.

SAM THE HERBALIST TALK - ZOOM

It was a real pleasure to have Sam the Herbalist come along to our Zoom meeting.  She has such a passion for Herbs and gave us all lots of tips and information on how to stay healthy and use ingredients in our own garden or nearby.  Sam talked about her Ginkgo Tree and the amazing properties of its leaves.  Even the humble Dandelion has wonderful properties as does Feverfew, Nasturtiums, Meadowsweet, Sage and Lavender.   Many thanks to Sam for joining us on Zoom and giving us such an interesting talk.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER - NICK UPTON - ZOOM

What a fantastic Zoom talk by Nick Upton who is a Wildlife Photographer from Box, Wiltshire.  He told us all about how he gets the perfect photographs as well as informing us all about the re-introduction of Cranes and Beavers.  Nick also showed us some fabulous photographs of his garden wildlife, with badgers, deer, foxes, frogs, lots of insects, birds and bees who visit his garden on a regular basis.  Finally he talked about the hedgehogs that visit a garden in Chippenham with lovely close up pictures.  Thank you Nick for a great informative talk, we all enjoyed it.

CHRISTMAS SURPRISE MEETING - ZOOM

We had a fantastic Zoom meeting.  Truda organised a scavenger hunt, pantomime, quiz and chat rooms.  Barbara showed us how to make a Christmas Star with pieces of Xmas wrapping paper or material, which was great fun and Sue did a video showing us how to make a sustainable Christmas Tree, which looked so impressive.  Thank you to everybody involved it was a really fun morning.
