REFLEXOLOGY WITH GABRIELA SLATER

What a great session we all had with Gabriela. She talked to us about Reflexology and showed us charts as to how the body is connected. We then had a chance to try it out for ourselves on our face and hands. She also showed us a technique to get to sleep quicker! Thank you so much Gabriela, hopefully other people will contact you to learn more and perhaps help them in their everyday life.

AGM & THE ANTIQUES MAN

At our AGM we had a new committee voted in. Our new President is Ros Wilde, our Secretary is Barbara Falkner and the Treasurer is Bobby Griffith, thank you to everybody who volunteered to keep Lockside WI running and making it such a great WI with about 42 members now and growing all the time.

We also had The Antiques Man (Alan Truscott) come along. Alan came to Lockside WI last in 2018 and we were delighted to welcome him back. He again captivated us all with his knowledge and very interesting and varied pieces that he had collected over the years. He said he had 170 cheese presses, one of the larges collections in the UK. He has thousands of items in his private collection, I don't know how he copes with all the dusting!! Thank you very much to Alan, hopefully we will see him again in a couple of years.

Thank you so much to Barbara Clark, who is a member of Lockside WI, for giving us a talk about her Quilting journey. It was so interesting and Barbara's Quilts are fantastic. The hours she must have spent working on so many Quilts is impressive. We all really enjoyed the morning and I think a few of the ladies may have a go at a Quilt themselves. Thanks so much to Barbara.
